Is This You?

You want real nutrition guidance, not another generic meal plan

These are some of the nutrition and dietary concerns our naturopathic doctors assess every week.

Tired of conflicting nutrition advice

Every podcast, influencer, and article says something different. You want guidance backed by your actual lab work, not trends.

Diet changes that haven't moved the needle

The plan looked great on paper. But without testing what's happening underneath, it's hard to know why your body isn't responding.

Eating "healthy" but still not feeling right

You're doing everything right on paper: whole foods, supplements, exercise. But you're still bloated, fatigued, or gaining weight.

Looking for sports or performance nutrition

You want to fuel your training properly but need more than macros. You want to know what's actually happening inside your body.

Digestive issues tied to food

You suspect certain foods are causing problems but can't pinpoint which ones without guessing or extreme elimination diets.

Weight that won't budge despite diet changes

You've cut calories, tried keto, intermittent fasting, and more. Something metabolic or hormonal might be in the way, but nobody has tested.

How It Works

How We Assess Your Nutritional Health at Insynco

A structured, evidence-informed process. Here's what a typical nutrition care journey looks like at Insynco.

60-Minute Initial Assessment

Your ND takes a full health and dietary history: what you're eating, what you've tried, how your body responds, digestive patterns, energy levels, exercise habits, sleep quality, and health goals. Nutrition is assessed in the context of your whole body, not in isolation.

Comprehensive Nutritional Testing

We look beyond diet diaries. A typical panel could include nutrient status (B12, vitamin D, iron, ferritin, zinc, magnesium), metabolic markers (fasting glucose, insulin, HbA1c), thyroid function, inflammatory markers, and in some cases food sensitivity or digestive testing. Your ND orders the testing your case calls for, and you see the cost before anything is ordered.†

Personalized Nutrition Protocol

Based on your results, your ND builds a targeted plan: whole-food nutrition strategies tied to your lab data, evidence-informed supplementation for identified deficiencies, gut support where indicated, and practical eating strategies aligned with your goals and lifestyle. Every recommendation is anchored to real data, not generic advice.

Ongoing Monitoring & Adjustment

Follow-up testing tracks real progress: nutrient levels, metabolic markers, and how your body is responding. Your protocol is adjusted based on data, not guesswork. Regular check-ins keep things moving in the right direction and ensure your plan evolves as your health changes.

Understanding Nutrition

Why Nutrition Is More Than What You Eat

Your body's response to food depends on dozens of interconnected factors. When hormones, gut health, metabolism, or nutrient absorption are out of balance, even a "perfect" diet can fall short.

Hormonal balance
Gut microbiome
Metabolic function
Nutrient absorption
Inflammation
Thyroid function
Blood sugar regulation
Stress & cortisol

A naturopathic nutrition assessment evaluates these interconnected systems through comprehensive testing, identifying where your body may need targeted support through dietary changes, supplementation, gut repair, or coordinated care with your existing healthcare team.

The Insynco Approach

What Makes This Different

Not generic nutrition advice. Here's how the Insynco system works for dietary and nutritional health.

01

Clinical Nutrition, Not Just Meal Plans

Your ND doesn't hand you a food list. They test what's happening inside, identify what's driving your symptoms, and build a nutrition protocol around real data. That's what a full naturopathic nutrition assessment includes — nutrition guidance grounded in clinical testing.

02

Collaborative Care Team

Your ND leads your care plan and can bring in another ND on our team when your case calls for a second perspective. Our support team handles scheduling and follow-up.

03

Nutrient & Digestive Testing

Nutrient, metabolic and digestive testing, matched to your case.

04

Works With Your Existing Team

Already seeing a dietitian, trainer, or family doctor? Naturopathic nutrition care complements existing guidance by adding the clinical testing layer they don't typically include.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Honest answers to the questions we hear most often about naturopathic nutrition and dietary care.

What is the difference between a nutritionist and a naturopathic doctor?+
Both provide nutrition guidance, but a naturopathic doctor (ND) is a regulated healthcare provider who can order and interpret lab testing, assess hormonal and metabolic function, prescribe evidence-informed supplementation, and build clinical protocols around your results. A naturopathic doctor is a regulated health professional who pairs nutrition guidance with clinical assessment and lab testing — so your plan is built on your health history and actual results. Naturopathic doctors are registered with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario and can order and interpret diagnostic testing as part of that assessment. At Insynco, our NDs combine comprehensive nutrition guidance with lab-based testing to address the root causes behind your concerns.
Can a naturopathic doctor help with sports and performance nutrition?+
Yes. Our naturopathic doctors work with active individuals and athletes on fueling strategies, recovery optimization, and body composition goals. The difference is that we pair nutrition guidance with lab testing for nutrient status, hormones, inflammatory markers, and metabolic function, so your plan is built around real data, not estimates.
What testing do you run for nutrition-related concerns?+
A typical nutrition-focused panel could include nutrient status (B12, vitamin D, iron, ferritin, zinc, magnesium), metabolic markers (fasting glucose, insulin, HbA1c), thyroid function (TSH, T3, T4), inflammatory markers (hs-CRP), and hormonal markers where relevant. In some cases, food sensitivity testing or digestive panels may be added. Your ND confirms the cost of each test with you before anything is ordered.†
Do I need to follow a restrictive diet?+
No. Our naturopathic doctors do not prescribe fad diets or extreme restriction. Nutrition plans are built around sustainable, whole-food strategies tailored to your lab results, health goals, lifestyle, and food preferences. The goal is to build lasting habits, not short-term fixes.
How much does naturopathic nutrition care cost at Insynco?+
The initial 60-minute assessment is $325. Follow-up visits start from $125. Naturopathic consultations are covered by most extended health insurance plans in Ontario. Lab tests are billed separately, and your ND confirms the cost before anything is ordered.† Visit our pricing page for full details.
Can you help with food sensitivities and intolerances?+
Yes. Rather than guessing which foods may be causing problems, our NDs can order IgG food sensitivity testing alongside a clinical assessment of your digestive function, gut health, and inflammatory status. This helps identify specific triggers so you can make targeted dietary changes instead of broad elimination. Learn about our approach to digestive health.
Is naturopathic care covered by insurance?+
Naturopathic consultations are covered by most extended health insurance plans in Ontario. Lab tests are billed separately, and we confirm the cost with you before anything is ordered.† Visit our pricing page for full details.
How long does it take to see results from a nutrition protocol?+
Nutrition protocols work in layers. Energy and digestion often begin shifting within 4 to 6 weeks. Deeper metabolic and hormonal rebalancing takes 3 to 6 months or longer. Every body moves at its own pace, and follow-up testing at each stage tracks where you are in the process.
Can naturopathic nutrition help with weight loss that isn't responding to diet changes?+
Yes. When weight is not responding to dietary changes, there is often a metabolic, hormonal, or inflammatory factor at play. Our NDs test for thyroid dysfunction, insulin resistance, cortisol imbalances, nutrient deficiencies, and other markers that can stall weight loss. The protocol addresses these root causes alongside nutrition. Learn more about our approach to weight loss.
Do you create meal plans?+
Our NDs provide personalized dietary guidance that may include meal frameworks, food lists, macronutrient targets, and practical eating strategies tailored to your goals and lab results. The focus is on sustainable nutrition habits rather than rigid meal-by-meal prescriptions.
Can naturopathic nutrition help with gut health and digestion?+
Yes. Digestive concerns are among the most common reasons patients seek naturopathic nutrition care. Testing can identify food sensitivities, inflammatory markers, nutrient malabsorption, and gut imbalances. The protocol combines targeted dietary changes with gut support strategies based on your results. Learn more about our approach to digestive health.
What if I'm already seeing a dietitian or nutritionist?+
That's completely fine. Naturopathic care complements the work of dietitians and nutritionists by adding a clinical testing layer. Your ND can identify underlying metabolic, hormonal, or inflammatory factors that may be affecting your response to dietary changes, and share findings with your existing care team.
Do I need a referral to see a naturopathic doctor?+
No referral is needed. You can book directly through our website and we'll match you with the naturopathic doctor whose clinical focus best fits your concerns.
Is naturopathic nutrition evidence-based?+
Naturopathic doctors are trained in evidence-informed clinical practice. Nutrition assessments use standard laboratory testing interpreted through current research. Our naturopathic doctors are registered with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario and hold four-year postgraduate degrees from accredited naturopathic medical programs.
How do I prepare for my first appointment?+
Bring any recent blood work, test results, or reports from your family doctor, dietitian, or other providers. Note any supplements you're currently taking, medications, known food sensitivities or allergies, and a general sense of your typical daily diet. Your ND will walk you through everything else during the appointment. See our full guide on what to expect.
